My name is Mike Pfeifer. I have been a life long health and fitness enthusiast. Growing up in Minnesota playing hockey lead me to my passion early on. After multiple injuries my hockey career ended at a young age. After realizing my dream of playing professional hockey had come to an end, I became interested in health and fitness. I struggled with weight as a kid and my whole life constantly yoyo'ing in weight. I tried every diet and supplement on the market. In spite of all the information out there and what I thought was "healthy" ultimately lead me to a colon cancer scare in 2018. After seeing multiple doctors and spending thousands of dollars on test they could not figure out what was wrong. I was single digit body fat, counting macros, working out 7 days a week, drinking 0 calorie drinks, and eating "healthy" protein bars. I had no energy, brain fog, and terrible stomach/indigestion problems. After my last doctors appointment I decided no one was willing to help me and I embarked on my own personal health journey. Reading every book I could possibly find led me to start a ketogenic diet. By eliminating most carbs I was able to get my life back. What I found is a healthy gut = healthy life.I found that eating a mostly ketogenic diet and keeping my blood sugar low coupled with the right nootropic brain supplements I was able to heal my gut and turn my brain back on.
